Lisa Barbaris

Lisa Barbaris started her career in the publicity department of Elektra Records in 1985, where she worked with such artists as Metallica, Teddy Pendergrass, Motley Crue, Natalie Merchant, Simply Red, Anita Baker, and many more.

In 1990, she moved to Geffen Records to serve as Director of Publicity, looking after XTC, Cher, Don Henley, Aerosmith, and The Sundays, among others.

In 1996, Lisa opened So What Media and Management, a boutique publicity and artist management shop. So What currently manages the careers of Billy Porter, Hunter Valentine, and Cyndi Lauper, with whom Lisa co-founded the True Colors Tour in 2007 and the True Colors Fund in 2008.

Barbaris serves on the Board of Directors and is the Secretary for True Colors United.
